UP BDS colleges are authorized by reputed universities like Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Banaras Hindu University. All BDS colleges are not only affiliated but also must be approved by Dental Council of India. The Dental Council of India is the Governing body for Dental colleges across the country. So always do your research before admission in any college.

The career opportunities available after BDS are much more than most graduates can imagine. BDS graduates can start their own practice of private dental clinics, work in multi-disciplinary hospitals, or in government health services. Further options can include Indian Army Dental Corps post, MDS for specialty in Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Endodontics, employment with dental products manufacturers, and faculty post in dental colleges.

Without a doubt, the government colleges like KGMU and BHU are the best for their academic brand, clinical exposure and money value, with annual fees as low as INR 54900. Getting seats is very tough and requires very high NEET scores. Private colleges are more accessible for the NEET mid-performers and boast modern infrastructure, international tie-ups and satisfactory placement assistance. The suitable option depends purely on your NEET mark and budget.

Yes, and this is one of the most important things every BDS aspirant in UP must know. Admission to BDS colleges in UP is conducted exclusively through NEET. NEET exam is mandatory for all government and private colleges. After clearing NEET, students must participate in either the UP NEET counselling or the All India Counselling process depending on whether they are applying for state-quota or All India quota seats. There is no alternative route to BDS admission in UP.
