All I need to do is write the BHU - PET and I can get placed based on the marks obtained, does this makes me eligible for food science?

Yes, admission is through counseling based on the rank obtained in Banaras Hindu University Postgraduate Entrance Test (BHU-PET) conducted by the university.

What is your category? Depending on the rank and assuming it be General rank, I think that you can get admission in one of the subsidiary colleges easily.
