The approximate course fee in private institutions ranges from 0.72 lakh INR to 1 lakh INR while in government colleges fee ranges from 25,000 INR to 30,000 INR. The basic pre requisite for the course is a B.Tech graduate degree in Biotechnology.

There are few vacancies every year due to shortage of admissions in various engineering colleges across the country. The institutes also releases notification for admission into such seats by non-gate candidates.
I suggest you to search for such institutes as these seats are less in number.

Food technology and biochemical engineering is about the science of food and processes involved in food making and production. Food technology and biochemical engineering help devise technology to battle situations like deteriorating food security, depleting energy sources, etc.
Jadavpur University is perhaps the best state university in India. It has always been among the top colleges in India.

Before talking about the placements, let us know a bit about the branch as it is not a popular choice in engineering. Established in 2001, the relatively new Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) strives to implement a multidisciplinary research and teaching program in modern biology and bioengineering. The department allows undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate programs (M.Tech and Ph.D.). The branch is new whereas there are branches which are about 100 years old. It's very nice to see your dream of doing your MS abroad. With scholarship too. Well it's not difficult at all. First of all you must get more than 80% as you have stated in your graduation exam. Scholarships are not granted on a regular basis but on selectively. Don't depend on it. There is still time for it.

Hello,
Though it's purely your choice to pursue a course as per your own interest, I would suggest you to opt for Aeronautical Engineering. Following are the reasons:
1. It's better to stick to the same field wherein you have already learnt the basics. Bio-Medical Engineering is a specialization in a completely different domain, while, Aeronautical Engineering is related to Mechanical Engineering.
2. Being in a similar field, it will open up diverse job opportunities for you as you can opt for jobs in the Mechanical sector as well as Aeronautical sector.

Since it uses the use of biology in a most advanced way it is necessary to have studied biology in your HSC . otherwise you cannot cope up with it.
