Biotechnology is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for B.E./B.Tech. Biotechnology Graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does. Average starting salary is generally between 2.4 to 5 Lakh Rupees per year.

Obviously B.Sc in agriculture is having more scope than B.Tech biotechnology. Please go for B.Sc in agriculture.

I think you cannot change subjects in 12th. You have to do it in 11th only. But yes, you need to have PCB if you are thinking of pursuing career in biotechnology engineering. Best wishes to you for this!
