One thing is very common in students enrolled in B.Sc.(Hons) at BHU, That all have prepared for Medical/Engineering entrance examinations. Scope in any subject and the possibility of employment through the subject are two different topics. Therefore, before getting admission in B.Sc. at BHU, it is very important to know what you want to get through B.Sc. and what you want to do after

Biotechnology isn't considered as a 'good' course mainly because of lesser, high-paying job opportunities in the field. Of course, the chances of getting a biotech job, with a moderate/good salary increases with qualifications, I. e. , Masters, Ph.D. etc.

Bio technology is still a budding industry in India. That has not yet reached its full potential. So there's plenty of scope in the near future depending on many factors. But if you are planning to study your Masters abroad after the Bachelors programme here, then it would be a good option. It has great scope abroad.
