Let it be clear, if your PG and UG subject domain are not the same you would be facing numerous hurdle later in career life, particularly if you take up an academic career. However, from B.Sc In Biotechnology, if you get an opportunity to go in for M.Sc in Food biotechnology and not Food Technology, that would make good sense. Think about it. Thank you.

Yes, they are right if you see through Carter scope and overall studies than microbiology is good option but at the end you have to see whether which course is good for you and what are you interests. All the best.
