St Xavier's College offers both stand alone B.Sc in Biotechnology programme and integrated B.Sc plus MSc in Biotechnology programs depending on the specific campus for example St Xavier's College Mumbai has introduced a new 4 year BSc in Biotechnology and Computational Biology while St Xavier's College Kolkata offers and indicated B.Sc + MSc in biotechnology.

VIT Vellore has no cut off on entrance Exam in M.Sc. Biotechnology. Rather, you will be able to get admitted based only on your grades in your Bachelors degree. At least 60 percent of cumulative score in a field related to Biology science ( e.g Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology). The SC/ST, candidates belonging to the North-Eastern states, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh should be considered at 50% at relaxed eligibility. This merit is used to process such applications and shortlisted candidates are invited to be admitted. At KCT Coimbatore, the cutoff for B.Tech Biotechnology through TNEA stays moderate. In the last three years, it was about 9.5k in 2022, 15k in 2023, and around 14.4k in 2024. So if your rank is below 15,000, you have a good chance to get this branch.

Amity University Noida reported a the highest BTech placement package of INR 35.9 Lacs per anum and an average package of INR 9.6 Lacs per annum in 2025 with 110 + companies visiting the campus GGS IPU B.Tech placement data for 2024 is not fully release but in 2023 the placement rate at USICT was 76% with an average package of INR 1200000 and the highest package of INR 45 in 2022 and in 2024 the highest package was INR 41.2 Lacs per annum and the average package was INR 7.2 Lacs per anum
