Biotechnology is a new field relative to other engineering courses. You need to keep this in mind whenever you are considering scope of biotechnology. Next up is jobs. Biotechnology can lead you to research as well as industrial jobs. Each of them has their own advantages. Research needs time and a lot of focus. Jobs in industry are grueling.
