Options after B.Tech biotechnology:
1. M.Tech/M.Sc (biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, bio process engineering, oncology, food technology and many more). Biotechnology is a research oriented field so you have lots of options after your Bachelors in biotechnology. GATE is a good option for you to get enter into the best Indian colleges like IITs, IIScs, NITs and other reputed colleges. (These colleges will give wings to your career). If you want to pursue your Masters from foreign universities than you can prepare for GRE.
2. CSIR- UGC NET and DBT BET. You can give these two examinations after your M.Tech and B.Tech respectively and if you successfully qualify these exams then you are eligible for JRF and lecturership and can pursue your Ph.D. (Stipend offered by government. 24000 /month) or can join any institute as an assistant professor or lecturer. 3. Bio Informatics - Bio Informatics is also a good career option after B.Tech biotechnology as bio informatics plays an important role in biomedical research. Research work in the area of genetic diseases and medical genomic is rapidly increasing and the future of personalized medicine depends on bio informatics approaches. So, it will help you to find a better job.
4. Research Analyst - There are lots of market research analyst jobs are available in health sciences domain. The skills required for this are - knowledge of biological terminologies, IPR, good communication skills and data analytical techniques and you can only learn these skills in B.Tech.
5. Intellectual Property Right - You can pursue any Diploma or Master Degree in IPR and after that will get a good job in this field. You can also pursue LLB in IPR from IGNOU, NALSAR and IIT Kharagpur and become an IP Lawyer.
6. Government Service Examination - I am mentioning this option because in B.Tech, you learn lots of analytical, statistical and problem solving techniques which will help you to get success in government.
