Both fields are unique. Genetics is about the - genetic information, heredity, and the molecular basis of traits. Total Semester tuition fee for B.Tech Biotechnology is INR 1,50,900 and development fee & other charges are INR 68,000, making the total semester fee INR 2,18,900.

To take admission at Thapar University, a candidate must have passed the Class 12th or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in an aggregate of three subjects, namely, physics, chemistry, and biology. 

And the admission is based on the candidate’s performance in the NEET examination, followed by a counselling process. 50% of the seats will be filled based on NEET scores, and the remaining 50% will be filled based on merit of marks

In order to take admission for M.Sc in Biotechnology at Savitri Bai Phule Pune University, you need to qualify for the GATE exam. The institute accepts scores from GATE for admission to Msc. The GATE 2024 exam was conducted in February 2024. So as the exam is already conducted, if you want to take admission next year, you need to start preparing for the 2025 GATE. As you are getting enough time for preparation, you'll get a favorable score which will help you to get admission without any problem.

Rank 491 in M.Sc. Biotechnology can be quite decent, but whether it is "good" or not depends upon for which college you are aiming.

As far as the last rank for M.Sc. Biotechnology in CPGET 2024 is concerned, it changes every year because certain criteria come into action such as a number of applicants, seat factor, and category-wise reservations among others. The last rank cutoff may also vary for different colleges affiliated under CPGET.

For an accurate trend, it is always better to refer to the official cutoff list published by universities or to the admission office of colleges concerned. They can further provide detailed information
