Since BIT Mesra BTech registration is done viaJEE Main registration portal, candidates are able to register for admissions while appearing for Class 12 board exams. However, registration for following CSAB / JoSAA will require Class 12 board exam passing certificate.

Candidates will need documents required for JEE Main as well as CSAB/ JoSAA counselling registrations which are as follows:
- Class 10th and Class 12th passing certificate and marksheet (if available)
- ID and address proof
- JEE Main scorecard (for CSAB/ JoSAA)
- Passport sized photograph
- Allottment letter (after counselling)

The students of BIT Mesra are given various facilities for their convenience. he University has smart classrooms, seminar halls, auditorium, hostel facilities, library, laboratories etc.
There are sports grounds and various other places within the campus to for cultural events.
BIT Mesra Hostels are spacious, well-maintained, clean and comfortable. Each hostel has its own mess hall which are run by the students themselves. BIT mesra hostels also have common areas that students can use.
