You can apply for it after 31 st of march of that year in which you wanna to appear for exam.

You can start from June. You need at least six months.

For CPT registration- Rs.6100
For CPT exam-Rs.500
For IPCC registration-Rs.9100
For IPCC exam-Rs.1900(both group) and Rs.1200 (first group only)
For orientation & ITT- Rs.7000
If you are going for private coaching then you have to pay tuition fee along with service tax to them.

The best way to prepare for CPT is to Follow study material, instead of going out for coaching classes, to crack CPT study material provided by is more than sufficient so worry not, stay focused follow study material and practice through practice manual.
