Yes, candidates can get admissions to the BTech course at ICFAI University, Raipur, without an entrance exam because the university sends the admission letter to candidates after evaluating their performance in academic qualifications, awards in sports/cultural events, debates, quizzes, and other extracurricular activities. Further, the procedure of admission concludes with an interview.

Some states conduct their own state exams, like COMEDK, WBJEE, KCET, etc. Some private colleges take their respective exams too. Like VIT, BITs etc., and also mostly colleges accept JEE Mains. But some also accept CUET or take direct admission.

The preparation time for the BTech Petroleum Engineering entrance exams cannot be said with certainty. To get excellent marks and rank in the entrance test, you should start preparing at least 6 to 8 months before the final exam date so that you have a good amount of time for revision and studying the entire exam syllabus section-wise.
The competition is quite high, especially at top colleges like the IITs, for which you must work extra hard and get excellent marks in the entrance test by preparing well in advance.
