Usha Martin University is one of the best private engineering colleges in Jharkhand, India. UMU is recognised by UGC and PCI and the university is also ISO certified. They charge less fees for B.Tech but provide good placements. The highest package of 2023 batch of UMU was Rs 10 LPA where as the average package was Rs 5-3 LPA.

The selection process for B.Tech programs can vary among different colleges and universities with some elements like Educational Qualification, Entrance Examination, Merit list, Interviews, Reservation Quotas etc.
Normally, we can get admission in private B.Tech colleges after passing class 12th but for getting admission in good/reputed University or colleges we have to give an exam called JEE Mains (Joint Entance Exam). According to the marks scored in this exam, we get placement in B.Tech colleges.
It is common for universities to set a minimum eligibility criteria, often ranging from 50% to 75% in the aggregate of the relevant subject

The following entrance exam results are accepted by MIT ADT University's Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET) for admission to the B.Tech program:
MHT CET: Candidates may be admitted to B.Tech programs if they have valid results in the PCB or PCM group of the MHT CET.
JEE Main: At MANET, MIT ADT University, valid JEE Main scores in the PCM group are also accepted for admission to B.Tech programs.
IMU CET: The merit score of the IMU CET entrance exam is taken into consideration for admission to Naval Sciences programs, including B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Sc. Naval Science.

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible for a B.Tech programme at Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET), MIT ADT University, Pune: they must have completed their intermediate education with a minimum of 60% of their marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) furthermore they must have received a 50% in English and a valid IMU CET score. As a result, it might not be eligible for a B.Tech at MANET, MIT ADT University, given its 56 percentile on the IMU CET.

LIT Nagpur is a good college with good faculty and provides sports and extra cirricular activities. The cost per semester is around Rs 60,000 and per year Rs 1.2 Lakh, which is a bit expensive in my opinion.

The selection process for B.Tech at Seacom Skills University (SSU) is based on merit in any entrance exam such as WBJEE, JEE, or SSU's own admission test. The minimum JEE Mains percentage required for admission to SSU is not specified on the university's official website.
