BTech admissions at Calcutta University require students to have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. Students should have a minimum 60% aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Further, it is necessary that the candidate hold the HSC/Class 12 pass certificate during form filling and admission confirmation. The documents are required for verification purposes. The qualification to get admission at Calcutta University for BBA course is to complete Class 12 with a 60% (55% for reserved categories) aggregate. Candidates should have English and Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics as subjects.

You need atleast 60% to get in BTech at Calcutta University as per the eligibility requirements set by the university. Hence with a score of 55% in Class 12 you are not eligible. But you can apply to different colleges and universities.

The eligibility criteria for the Faculty of Law at Calcutta University, apart from national-level entrance exams, include the following:
Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the best four subjects at the 10+2 level from a board recognized by the University of Calcutta. For SC/ST/persons with disabilities (disability 40% or more), a minimum of 40% marks in the best four subjects is required, excluding environmental studies of WBCHSE.

In general, having studied Mathematics in your class 12th is a strong indication that you meet the foundational requirements for admission to a B.Sc. programme in Mathematics and Statistics. Mathematics is usually a core subject for such programs, and having a background in it is often a prerequisite.

for General candidates- 55% in aggregate + 60% in Accountancy / Mathematics or in any related subject SEE below). + Minimum 30% marks in Mathematics at the Secondary (Class X) level. For SC/ST- 40% in aggregate or 40% in Accountancy / Mathematics or in any related subject SEE below).
