Aside from core courses of BSc at Calcutta University, candidates can pursue general electives, discipline electives, ability enhancement compulsory course and skill enhancement course. These courses comprise 40 out of 96 total credits of a BSc course at Calcutta University.

Last date to apply for BSc admissions at Calcutta University was scheduled in beginning of June for Department of Home Science. Other departments have not yet released a BSc admission at this point. Candidates should continue going to Calcutta University's website to stay updated.

Calcutta University has not mentioned a refund policy for BSc students who cancel their admission. Thus, candidates should ask admission desk to confirm whether refunds are granted or not. 

Generally, all institutes follow UGC norms when admissions are cancelled which provide a refund policy.

If a candidates is unable to secure any financial assistance through scholarships for BSc fees at Calcutta University, student loans are their only option. BSc students should compare every bank available based on interest rates before applying for a student loan.

These admissions were opened in third week of May and candidates could register if they fulfilled their eligibility criteria. However, status of BSc admissions is unknown for other departments of Calcutta University.

Candidates who fulfill Calcutta University BSc eligibility criteria will be required to appear in this institute's in-house entrance exam. This entrance exam is conducted every year and scores obtained in this entrance exam is primary factor during selection rounds.
