Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in any discipline or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University. They should have obtained at least 50% marks in the concerned degree programme. Yes, you are eligible for NET/SET exam. Candidate must have scored at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST, OBC- NCL, PwD) in Masters Degree or equivalent examination from university recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc. To be eligible for UGC NET 2019.

Yes, you can pursue M.Sc Statistics after doing M.Sc in applied maths under Calcutta University. So, you can easily apply for the University in MSc Statistics. Good luck
