Admission to Calicut University is conducted through KEAM scores. Based on the scores, the Calicut University cutoff 2024 is released for the candidates. As per the cutoff released, the most competitive CSE cutoff was 39831 for Universal Engineering College in 2024 for General Home State category candidates. Admission to the BSc course at Calicut University is entrance-based. The minimum eligiblity required to apply for the course is Class 12 or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 45%-70% from a recognised university. However, as admissions are entrance-based, students are required to secure a valid score in the accepted entrance exams such to be eligible for the BSc course admission. In case a candidate does not score enough, or wants to consider other options for BSc admissions, they can always opt for other colleges offering online BSc course.

Admission to the BTech course at Calicut University is entrance-based. Interested students must clear 12th or its equivalent with a minimum score of 45%. Admissions are entrance-based, and students are also required to appear for the entrance exams to be eligible for the BTech admission.

Calicut University accepts NEET PG scores for the admission to MD and MS courses. For candidates belonging to All India Quota, NEET PG Round 4 seat allotment for Calicut University MD/ MS cut off 2023 closing rank for MD in General Medicine stood at 138 for the General category AI candidates. And, MD in General Medicine was the most competitive rank due to the lowest score. In 2022, MD General Medicine stood at 421 and in 2021 at 91.
