Following the NEP 2020 guidelines, the BA at University of Calicut is now a flexible 4-year course. Students can choose to exit after three years with a standard degree, but staying for the fourth year leads to a BA Honours or Honours with Research. This modern structure is quite different  as it allows students more freedom to accumulate credits over eight semesters.

  • Eligibility: Open to all Class 12 streams (Science, Commerce, Humanities) with a 45-50% aggregate. Selection is strictly merit-based.

  • NEP 2020 Structure: A flexible 4-year programme. You can exit after 3 years with a degree or complete the 4th year for BA Honours.
