Canada only if you study two year program you will be allowed to stay back for three years. if you study one year you will be allowed to stay back only for 8 months. Unless you get a job you can not extend the visa for work permit.

Dear Richu, you can refer to Times Higher Education Ranking or QS world ranking for the best universities in Canada for mechanical engineering. I suppose you will find a list of options on Shiksha website too. McGill, University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, University of Waterloo are some of the best.

Dear Yatharth, admission requirements are different for each university. Universities look beyond academics, however they will have their own norms. As an architecture applicant you must also submit a portfolio, let your creativity speak. University of Waterloo I think requires a science background but University of Toronto do not have such a requirement. I will advice you to email a few universities including the two I mentioned. Carleton University, McGill University and University Laval also offers b.arch.
Best wishes

Hi
Lateral entry option is only possible in India. At the best, to study abroad, you can shortlist the countries first and then universities. Write to them about the courses you hv taken in your diploma and request them to see if the credits can be given for those or not.
For admission abroad you will also need SAT and TOEFL/IELTS 6 band.
