Yes - Pharmacognosy is a career option that has a bright future especially with the global movement towards more natural plant-based health care solutions.  The field of pharmacognosy continues to increase in value as pharmacognosists understand the herbal drug development process, herbal product development, and standardization and research practices.

The world of possibilities has vastly expanded, from working in research & development and quality control positions to pursuing careers in herbal product manufacturing, and both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical careers are going to expand.
