Eligibility criteria: A Bachelors degree is the basic qualification. A custom officer who is working under the Government of India should be above 19 years and must have completed graduation. The aspirant must score above 55% of marks and then only can he/she apply.Recruitment channels: Following are the recruitment channels for Custom officers.
1. Clear UPSC Civil Services exam giving your first preference as Indian Revenue Services Customs and Central Excise (IRS C&CE). It's a group A category officer.
2. Clear SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam and give your preference for Inspector in Customs. It's a group B category officer.
3. You can also enter into your respective state customs though public service exams conducted by your state government.
