There are many career options after 12th. He can switch to courses from commerce stream or humanities.
If he finds mathematics difficult, there are various courses curriculum for students without mathematics ranging from CA, CS, BBA, etc. Also, he can go for B.A. LLB
If he is creative, he can go for fashion designing Photography event management, etc. He can also give a thought to psychology liberal arts archaeology interior designing etc. Follow your passion and then you don't have to work even a single day of your life.

For physiotherapy, there are 4 colleges under ministry of social justice and empowerment which are central government colleges. They are-
1. PDUIPH, Delhi
2. SVNIRTAR, Odisha
3. NIOH, Kolkata
4. NIEPMD, Chennai
For admission in these colleges, you need to appear for a entrance known as CET or Common Entrance Test conducted by these institutions. Except PDUIPH, they conduct another entrance. Moreover, other colleges with their own entrance are-government institution-
1. Jamia Milia Islamia
2. GGIPU
3. Osmania university

You need to concentrate on all the four departments I.e. food production, food and beverage, accommodation operations and Front office. During IET, you could convince the hotel and concentrate only on the kitchen. But when are in college you are expected to focus on all the departments because the course is about hotel management and hospitality administration which teaches you how all the departments operates.
