Yes, foundation course in hotel management and catering technology is a good course to become a chef because those courses will provide the basic and foundation and basics which is needed to become a chef.

For getting into IHM Bangalore, you need a rank above 3000 and for Delhi you need rank between 1 to 500. For becoming a chef, you can specialize in kitchen.
