The eligibility criteria for admission to the MBA programme offered by the IIMs is that the candidate must be a graduate and have cleared the CAT exam with at least 95+ percentile (General category). In the top six IIMs, the cut-offs for General category is as high as 99-100 percentile. 
IIMs shortlist candidates based on CAT score and the selection process is as they have mentioned on their website separately. The exam selection process for CAT will consist of a; 
1. Group Discussion (GD)
2. Written Ability Test (WAT)
3. Personal Interview (PI).
Post the COVID-19 scenario, some institutes conduct online interviews only for shortlisted candidates.

For the year 2023, the minimum cutoff for admission to the MBA programme at IBA was 70 percentiles, indicating a minimum score that applicants needed to meet to be considered for the selection process, emphasizing the importance of meeting this benchmark for admission consideration.

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai offers two executive MBA courses- PGXPM and PGPM Flex. For admissions go on the official website of the college and register for the desired course. You will be required to make a payment of INR 1500 and then proceed to fill the online application form available on the official website. Submit the official e- mail ids of the recommenders and finish. The further processes will be contacted through e- mails or messages and if you are shortlisted, the date and venue will be notified to you officially. There are no cut- offs required for admissions to executive MBA programs however, you need to have at least 8 years of experience in the field and provide two recommenders and a SOP.

You must perform well on any of the CAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT, or XAT national entrance exams. The minimal percentile needed varies depending on the exam and specialisation you select. For better odds, it is generally advised to aim for above 80th percentile on reputable tests like the CAT or MAT.You must complete the online application form available on the university website and send it in with the necessary supporting documentation and the application fee.

Candidates are shortlisted by the university for the following round depending on their results on the admission exam. Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) are extended invitations to the shortlisted candidates. Your critical thinking, cooperation, and communication skills are evaluated by the GD.The PI evaluates your general personality fit for the programme, motivation, knowledge of the selected specialisation, and career aspirations.Your total performance on the entrance examinations, GD, and PI determines who gets chosen in the end.
