For MBA admissions, the North Eastern Regional Institute of Management (NERIM) accepts CAT scores. It is not, however, the sole entrance exam that the institute accepts. Merit-based admissions, the MAT, and the NERIM Entrance Test are also accepted by NERIM.

The NERIM Entrance Test (NEET), which is exclusive to NERIM, is required for admission to a few postgraduate programs. The institute also takes scores from the CAT, though it's unclear if this is the primary or exclusive entry exam that's recognized.

As such, although the CAT is one of the recognised entry tests, it is not the sole choice. It is advised to visit NERIM's official webs

The minimum overall CAT score required to be shortlisted for the DMS IIT Delhi MBA programme is generally around 90 percentile. Whereas, there might also be sectional cut-offs for the Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC), and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) sections of the CAT exam, it's somewhat at least 80 percentile in each section. While the minimum cut-off is 90 percentile, the actual CAT score required to secure a seat at DMS IIT Delhi is usually much higher.

Because scoring 99 percentile in CAT is the only way you can get closer to an IIM or a top MBA college in India. The CAT cut off for admission to the top IIMs - IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode is often above 99 percentile for General category candidates. For IIMs, nothing less than 97-98 percentile is good. If you are aiming for the top 6 IIMs, then you must score 99 percentile for even getting shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI.IIM Ahmedabad has the lowest sectional cutoff in CAT requirement (i.e.) 70 percentile or above for each section.

Yes, IP University requires the CAT exam for admission to the MBA program. You cannot be admitted to the IP University to study management without taking the CAT exam. In addition to considering CAT results for admission, the university also takes qualified applicants' CMAT and IPU CAT MBA scores into consideration.

TAPMI MBA admissions are done based on merit in the qualifying examination. CAT is not the only qualifying examination accepted by the college. TAPMI also accepts XAT, GMAT, and NMAT for making admissions to its MBA courses. Moreover, entrance exam scores are not the sole basis of selection. The college reviews candidates based on their past academic records, personality, and performance in GD and PI.

Yes, it is possible to take admission in Delhi University's MBA programs without the CAT exam. However, the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) at DU relies on CAT scores, other DU colleges offering MBA programs have their own admission processes. These colleges often consider factors like:

    • Past academic performance (Class 10, 12, Graduation)
    • Entrance exams conducted by the college itself
    • Work experience (may or may not be mandatory)
