An applicant's chances of being admitted into an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) are enhanced by scoring in the 99th percentile on the Common Admission Test (CAT). However other factors that affect admissions include prior academic performance, work experience, and performance in subsequent rounds such as the Written Ability Test (WAT) Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI).
Because of their holistic evaluation process, which takes academic consistency into account, getting into older, more prestigious IIMs (like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore Calcutta) may be difficult, with 57% of students in Class 10th and 51% in Class 12t
