Although 6.5 is not poor, it is mediocre enough to get you a call from IIM for admisisons. If you clear the CAT exam and do well in the personal interview phase, you can get into the top IIMs, regardless of your CGPA. Since most management universities accept applicants with a 6.5 CGPA, you shouldn't worry about your score.

In 2023, the CAT slot 3 was tougher than slot 1 and slot 2. In all the three slots, the Quantitative Aptitude section was tougher than VARC and DILR. The overall CAT score cutoff for a 99+ percentile is expected to range around 82-83, as per the experts.CAT 2023 slot 3 was tougher than CAT 2022 and CAT 2023 slot 1. IIM Kozhikode does not prescribe the syllabus of EMAT. Candidates can know the important topics that are covered under EMAT syllabus by downloading the sample papers. The syllabus is divided across three sections viz., Quantitative Aptitude and Numerical Ability, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and General Management. There will be several stages to the NIFT 2024 exam. For example, in order to be admitted to the B. Des programme, an applicant must first pass the written GAT and CAT tests. If they are selected for further consideration, they must then take a Situation Test. Candidates for M.Des who make the short list must attend a personal interview rather than the situation test.
