The chances are very less for the candidates securing an 80 percentile to get into Welinkar Mumbai for the PGDM course. The Welingkar Mumbai cutoff 2024 for the General AI category candidates stood at 85 for CAT, 85 for CMAT, and 70 for XAT. Candidates seeking admission to Welinkar Mumbai has encountered similar cutoffs over the period of three years.

Yes, Uka Tarsadia MBA admission takes place through the CAT/MAT/CMAT entrance exam and thus is necessary to take admission into the programme. The institute does not conduct or recognise results of any other exam for its MBA admissions. Candidates not applying for admission through the CAT exam, can register and secure a valid score in the MAT and CMAT exam. Therefore, if candidates have not appeared for the CAT exam they still can apply for the MBA programme at the institute.

Yes, TKM Institute of Management considers CAT scores for admission to MBA programme. However, it is not mandatory. Candidates with a valid score in KMAT or CMAT can also get admission provided they also fulfil the eligibility requirements. Once selected, aspirants need to further pass the group discussion and personal interview round for admission.

In 2024, Considering the Alliance School of Business cutoff 2024, 75 percentile is sufficient to get admission through CAT. However, the same percentile is not enough to get admission through MAT. The MAT cutoff percentile for the General AI quota stood at 80. So, it is advised to the candidates to aim more than 80 percentile. However, they can get a call from the institute at 75 percentile.

Yes, you can get admission to the management courses at GNOIT with a CAT percentile of 50. Based on an estimate, the GNOIT PGDM cutoff 2025 was 25 (overall and sectional) for the General AI category. Hence, a percentile of 50 could get you to the next round of admission, which involves GD, PI or WAT.

Note - The cutoff details given are based on an estimate of the previous years, since the CAT percentiles are not released publicly. Hence, the data points are not official.

Yes, it is necessary to cover all topics of CAT syllabus as there is no predefined format of the question paper weightage. The CAT question paper can have questions from any topic. Even though, it is known that certain topics dominate the CAT paper, you must be prepared for surprises. It may happen that in one session, most of the questions are asked from seemingly less important section, which you had ignored during preparation.

There are no straight forward vocabulary questions in CAT. Out of the total of 24 questions in VARC section, 12-14 questions are Reading Comprehension based and rest of them comprise parajumbles, para completion and odd sentence. CAT is the only MBA entrance exam, which does not have direct vocabulary and grammar questions. However, one needs to have strong vocabulary and grammar to be able to solve RC, parajumble, para completion and odd sentence questions.
