With a 90th percentile CAT score, you have a good chance of getting a call from TAPMI and a reasonable chance of conversion. However, TAPMI, like other top B-schools, considers your overall profile, including academics, work experience, and extracurricular activities, beyond just the CAT score.

A 90th percentile is a strong score, indicating you're in the top 10% of CAT test-takers.

For Indian students, CAT is usually considered tougher in Math (Quant) and Logic (DILR). GRE Math is easier. However, GRE Verbal (English) can be harder because you have to learn very difficult vocabulary words.

The CAT exam has no restrictions regarding your eligibility to participate. A gap year between your 2nd and 3rd year of graduation does not impact eligibility for the CAT exam. The CAT eligibility requirements are satisfied if either you have finished your degree or are studying in your last year of graduation. Always positively explain the gap year period to interviewers. Reframe your thoughts toward the constructive activities you accomplished during your gap period whether through skill acquisition or exam preparation.
