To join Merchant Navy, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) are required in 12th and most colleges require a minimum of 60% marks. If you have scored less in 12th, some options are still open:
Take Improvement Exam (next year) and improve your marks to get eligibility.
Some private maritime institutes also take those with 40–50% marks—but their placement is not that strong.
Alternative: You can do GP Rating Course (General Purpose Rating), for which eligibility is a little less (10th/12th pass with 40%+).
Once you get entry in Merchant Navy, you can grow later with experience.

If you've completed 12th and want to join a Polytechnic, most colleges require only 10th pass, but some accept 12th students for lateral entry. You can apply to top government or private colleges in your state offering Diploma courses in engineering, design, or IT. Check your state's Polytechnic admission portal for forms.

To join journalism after 12th it is best to start with the basics, that is appear for the mass communication entrance exams after successfully qualifying the 10+2. Major media institutions conduct their entrance exam such as the IIMC, JMI, etc. Appear in these exams and crack them. Once you crack any of these exams, you will be eligible to appear in their counselling process from where you can choose a course as per your interest and rank. Get enrolled in the course to start your journalism studies.

Yes, students come from Science background with Biology, PCB can pursue Pharmacognosy through pharmacy Diploma or Bachelor level programs.
For most part, it is a part of B Pharmacy or D Pharmacy courses, as a main subject in Pharmacy, is when Pharmacognosy will typically be introduced. There are also institutions that will take you through a specialised Diploma or a PG course in Pharmacognosy, but usually expect will have a graduate status to share PG course or diploma.
