To appear in the CEED 2026 exam, the candidate must have passed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate degree exam of minimum three years. There is no limit on the upper age limit or number of attempts for appearing in CEED.
The eligibility criteria that candidates need to meet for appearing in the CEED have been explained below.
- Qualifying exam: The candidate must have completed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate programme of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2). Or, Appearing for the final exam of such a programme by July 2026 or, Must have passed the GD Arts Diploma programme (10+5) level by July 2025.

Candidates can request for a change in the test city and the same will be accommodated by authorities provided there is a valid reason. To change the CEED 2025 exam city, candidates need to make a request to the office of the Chairperson, IIT Bombay within the stipulated time. The CEED 2025 exam will be conducted in 27 cities across the country. Each of these cities can have one or more exam centres. The name of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the admit card.

Candidates can know the status of their CEED 2026 application form on the official registration portals of the exam. In a situation wherein any more information or document is required then the CEED office gets in touch with aspirants through their registered email. It may be note that complete applications will be rejected.
The candidate must carefully go through the step-wise process to fill out the form.

The updated application fee that candidates have to pay an application fee when applying for the CEED exam is shown below.
Women candidates - INR 2000
SC, ST, PwD candidates - INR 2000
All other candidates - INR 4000
The candidate will have to pay a fee as per the category they belong. If the candidate selects the wrong category and pay the wrong feels, he or she may be disqualified. So, care must be taken when selecting ones category.

IIT Bombay released the admission schedule for the CEED 2026 exam, including the application start and last dates, at the time of the release of the application form. The CEED application form was open from October 01, 2025 till November 05, 2025 with regular fees.
Late fee window was open from November 06, 2025 to November 07, 2025.

The role of IIT Bombay is to conduct the CEED 2024 entrance exam and declare the exam results. It will play no role in the post-result admission process, including counseling. This means the candidate will have to approach the CEED 2024 participating and result-sharing colleges on their based on their CEED 2024 merit ranks. Considering the application process should have started by now, you are urged to visit the admission portal of the concerned institute.
If the application form is open, dult fill it out before the last date.
Note that IIT Bombay conducts the counseling process for UCEED 2024, known as the Joint Seat Allotment process.

IIT Bombay declared the CEED 2026 results on March 4, 2026. It was released around 12:30 PM. The results were released online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. You can check your results using your email ID and password.

Candidates need to have a prep strategy in place to prepare for Part A and Part B of the CEED exam. While formulating a CEED preparation plan, candidates need to keep in mind important topics to study in order to ace each section of the design entrance test. Yes, IIT Bombay conducts Common Entrance Exam for Design or CEED for admission to MDes programme. It is a national-level entrance exam conducted in online mode. It is a three-hour exam conducted once in a year. Candidates shortlisted based on CEED rank have to also appear for IDC written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted aspirants are further require to come for an interview round for final selection.
