There is negative marking in CEETA PG. For incorrect answers, the candidates will lose 1/3 mark. Marks will not be deducted for the questions left unanswered. Multiple shading will be considered as a wrong answer and a 1/3 mark will be reduced. Hence, candidates have to be very carefull while marking their answers. Since, CEETA PG has negative marking, students are advised to avoid guesswork and only answer the questions they are confident about.

Hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant field with min 50% (General) or 45% (Reserved)
- BE/BTech/BArch
- Master's in relevant Science/Arts
- BPharm
- 10+2+AMIE (2 years experience)
- 10+3-year diploma+AMIE (2 years experience)
Final year students of 2023-2024 academic year eligible. Candidates from other states may be eligible subject to conditions set by admitting authority/university.

CEETA PG stands for Common Engineering Entrance Test for Admission Postgraduate, a competitive examination for admission to ME, MTech, MArch, and MPlan programmes. Until 2022, the admissions were based on TANCET. From 2023, the admissions for ME, MTech, MArch, and MPlan programmes in Anna University, Annamalai University and other government colleges in Tamil Nadu are based on CEETA PG score.
