CEETA

Anna University conducts the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admissions (CEETA PG) on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Government. CEETA PG state-level entrance examination offers admission to postgraduate degrees, such as M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan, and M.E. The exam is conducted once a year. 

If a candidate has lost his/her CEETA PG hall ticket, he/she can apply for a duplicate admit card. To obtain a duplicate CEETA hall ticket, the candidate has to pay an amount of INR 300+ 18% GST in the form of a Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai—600 025, indicating the registration number, application number, and the name of the examination centre. 

Candidates appearing for CEETA exam must carry necessary document as mentioned on admit card, which are as follows-

• CEETA PG admit card
• Passport-size photo
• Valid ID proof and 
• PwD certificate (optional)

The CEETA exam hall ticket is a mandatory document to be carried to the examination centre. After downloading, candidates must check that the following details are printed on the admit card -

• Name of the candidate

• Date of Birth

• Category of the candidate

• Exam Date and Timings

• Registration/Roll Number

• Exam Centre details

• Passport-size photograph

• Signature of the candidate

• Exam day guidelines

• Duration of the examination

Anna University will release CEETA PG hall ticket a few days before exam date. Candidates who have registered can download their hall ticket from official website using their email ID and password. It is advised to keep the admit card CEETA PG safe as it will be needed at the time of counselling and admission process.

Engineering Mathematics section in CEETA PG comprises of 20 marks. Check syllabus below

CEETA PG question paper is divided into three parts. Questions are asked from Engineering Mathematics, Basic Engineering and Sciences, and branch-based.

CEETA PG is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Anna University on the behalf of Tamil Nadu State Government to offer admission to postgraduate courses, such as M.E, M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Plan, at the following universities -

• Anna University Regional Campuses and University Colleges of Engineering
• Annamalai University
• Government Engineering Colleges through centralised single window online counselling. 

CEETA PG marking scheme is applicable for all branch papers. For correct answer, one mark is awarded. There is negative marking of 1/4 for wromg responses. Mode of CEETA exam is offline. Students will have to answer on OMR sheet.

No, Valid scorecard of CEETA is mandatory for admission in Government College of Technology for M.Tech . Score of 50%+ is required to be eligible for M.Tech application form.
