Hi Maya, if you get chance to study abroad then never lost this chance. The four branches are different and your question has a very individual perspective. Everybody will have different opinions. As for me, I enjoyed electrical and electronics. Similarly, you will have different interests, so there cannot be any generalized answer to your question. There is no the toughest field in engineering if you have more knowledge or study hard hope you understand and good luck.

Your chances of getting a good college under Anna University are really low with this cut-off score. So, you may try for a decent college in the counselling for BE chemical engineering.

There are few colleges only under Anna University that offer chemical engineering courses in Tamil Nadu. Some of the top ones are Alagappa College of Technology (ACT campus of Anna University), Coimbatore Institute of Technology, VelTech, etc. You may also refer:

The fee details are not available on asked College website. However, on the basis of information gathered from other sources, the course fee is about Rs 21,000 per year. While the hostel fee is about Rs 56,000 per year.

LDCE offers the following Post diploma degree courses (PDDC) in the part-time mode as under:
1. Civil Engineering
2. Electrical Engineering
3. Electronics & Communication Engineering
4. Mechanical Engineering
So from above BE Chemical, part-time course is not available at LDCE.

Institute of Chemical Technology (Deemed to be University of MHRD/ UGC), Mumbai is the best. ICT has the 27 overall NIRF ranking while class 12th NIRF ranking for its Engineering courses. In November 2017, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Committee visited ICT and graded with A+ CGPA of 3.77 out of 4. ICT has been ranked amongst the top ten Engineering Institutes of India and 19th amongst the top universities if the country. It is also recognized at rank 4 amongst the Pharmacy Institutes. In the BRCS QS Universities ranking 2018, ICT ranked at 118; whereas, in 2019, ICT is 115 among all BRICS.
