However, in terms of affordability, Annamalai University is more affordable since the tuition fees to pursue ME/MTech at Annamalai University range from INR 50,000 to INR 1.1 lakh, and the tuition fee to pursue ME/MTech at Chennai Institute of Technology is INR 1.6 lakh.

The scholarships at Chennai Institute of Technology are based on JEE performance and merit. Merit scholarships are available to all those students also if a student has outstanding overall grade. First-year admission through Single Window counseling with cut-off 190/200 will receive full tuition fee waiver. CIT also provides financial support to economically poor students who have obtained marks between 195 and 200 in Class 12; this financial support is up to INR 50,000 available as scholarship.
