HI,
For a BC category student, the cut off marks of 126 is really low to get a college or a decent one too. So you better try it in the counselling.
So it is better to try for arts and science courses.
If you want to do engineering just to have a degree then you can do as you may not get any good college.

It is a good institution to study owing to the achievements and the associations that it makes with industry and government contacts. However, since the culture in the south is slightly conservative and strict, the atmosphere of the college might treat students a bit harshly. But in the end, all the good institutions earn a good name by excercising a strict demeanor. This has been the nature of all good colleges downsouth. Read on to know more about Sathyabama University and its achievements.
Best wishes

These 3 colleges are better for engineering. SASTRA University, Kumbakonam campus is not the main campus. So it will be better if you go for the Thanjavur campus if you want to prefer SASTRA University.
SRM University, Chennai (KTR campus) is alone the best among all the other campuses of SRM University.
So my preference order will be:
1) SRM University (main campus alone)
2) SASTRA University, Kumbakonam campus
3) Rajalakshmi College of Engineering, Chennai

Satyabhama University, Chennai is better than LNCT, Bhopal. Crowd quality is not good in LNCT. Also, placement is below average so I will suggest you to join Satyabhama.
