For the undergraduate courses Class 12 with a minimum of 45%-75% aggregate is accepted by the university along with the various entrance exam scores. For postgraduate courses, a minimum of 60% aggregate in graduation is accepted by the university. The accepted entrance exams for admission to various courses is GATE, TNEA, and others.

The Loyola College Chennai provides a 3-year B.Com course. In addition, the college offers five BCom (Hons.), BCom (Accounting and Finance), BCom (Corporate Secretaryship), and BCom (Computer Applications) courses.
