Commonly asked questions On Placement Overview
Ethiraj College for Women has a dedicated job placement cell and internships are an important focus for them, especially for students pursuing programs in computer science, information technology, commerce and management.Various leading recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant and HDFC Bank visit Ethiraj College campus every year to recruit students for these professional courses. On the other hand, Women's Christian College, Chennai focuses mainly on undergraduate courses in pure arts and sciences such as physics, chemistry, botany and economics rather than professional degrees. Therefore, large-scale campus placement through large recruiting firms may not be the primary focus or activity of Women's Christian College.
In conclusion, Ethiraj College appears to have a clear advantage when it comes to campus placement and providing employment opportunities to graduates of professional courses. The Women's Christian College focuses more on arts-based learning than corporate internships.
1) Stella (Girls Only), Cathedral Road is the best branch in BCom at WCC. Its got to be at top in anybody's list.
2) MOP Vaishanav (Girls only), Thousand lights/Uttam gandhi Salai - As good as Stella. Should be in top 5 of anybody's list.
3) Ethiraj (Girls Only), Egmore- Again in top 5 for girls only
4) WCC (Girls only), College Road- I would keep it on par with Stella and MOP. You see same level of competition for seats, yet it's everyone's second or third choice for some reason . Top 5 in anybody's list
4) DG Vaishnav college (Co-ed), Arumbakkam- Only reason I would rank this below all others is it's location and plenty of parents would prefer a girls only college over a co-ed.
5) Madras Christian College (MCC), Tambaram (Co-ed)- Probably has the best campus out of the lot . Why isn't in top 5 of my pick . same reason as DG vaishnav.
There are plenty of good colleges all cross the city . Above list are autonomous and self regulated, hence are preferred . Then there are alot of private colleges in far flung areas of city like SRM . I wouldn't recommend someone there.

As far as bunking is concerned its difficult to get past the security people once inside the campus. So she will have to take leave. But 85% attendance in every subject is a deal breaker. It's important to be cautious. It's not impossible to bunk though if the right tricks are known.
Discipline wise it's all individual values. Anything against the rule book is treated with stern action.
