Yes, SNU Chennai offers stipends and assistantships to full-time PhD students. Whereas, part-time scholars are exempted from this facility. Students admitted to PhD course at SNU Chennai will receive a stipend of INR 20,000 per month, with free shared accommodation in the campus. The university also provides contingency amount of INR 25,000 per annum for research activities.

Note: The stipend is subject to the satisfactory performance in the program, which shall be evaluated continuously, in compliance with the University research regulations.

SNU Chennai PhD admissions 2024 are open for the January Session. The last date to apply for the same was Nov 24, 2023. However, the written exam dates have not been released on the official website.
