With a TNEA rank of 12,648 and a cutoff of 174 for Civil Engineering at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, your chances are very low.
The cutoff rank is much better (lower) than your rank.
You may not get Civil Engineering in this college through counselling.
Consider other branches or other colleges with higher cutoff ranks as backup options.

As a Sri Lankan refugee, you can apply for Civil Engineering via JoSAA (NITs/IIITs/GFTIs) or your state CET counselling. Ensure you have Physics, Chemistry, Maths. Use your refugee certificate/UNHCR card, 10+2 marks and ID to register online and participate in counselling rounds.
