Your CUET-UG score is 161 and getting admission in B.Tech CSE in CIT (Chandigarh or Coimbatore Institute of Technology) is impossible, as basically CSE cutoffs for general category must not fall below 145-160 (above ~190+ marks). However, admit card cut-offs will be lower for other less popular Engineering branches like ECE or it may also possible in later spot rounds of counselling in state quota or alternative category wise. For one academic year data, please validate CIT Admission Portal or their counselling releases.

Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) is extra affordable for B.Tech if you get admission via country quota.
The total fee is around INR 5-8 lakh.
NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology is less expensive and most effective for Karnataka students through KCET.
For others, it could cost INR 10–19 lakh.

The COMEDK UGET exam is conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). It is conducted for all colleges in Karnataka, not only for CIT - Channabasaveshwara Institute Of Technology. The results for admission in 2025 were declared on 7th June 2025.
