A peaceful life at Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
Placements: 97% of students were placed in good company. The other 3% choose to continue their studies to the next level. The siphon is also a little worth for the job. Top companies visit our college to recruit students. There are vast options to choose from for your placement.
Infrastructure: There are specific labs for each and every department. We also have a computer engineering lab with full-fledged. There is a Wi-Fi support in almost every computer. The hostel is neatly maintained by the hostel students and the appointed staff. The hostel is vast and sufficient.
Faculty: The curriculum for our batch is easy and good compared to other colleges. Our faculty members are jovial and understanding. They clarify each and every doubt with needed examples and clear them specifically. The decorom is maintained with due towards the college.
Other: The campus life here is quiet and calm which is a need for each and every student. There are many committees and clubs for anti-ragging and other unwanted stuff for the safe.

Good college with excellent placement records.
Placements: Our batch is 2020-2024 and I belong to CSE Department. The percentage of students placed are around 60–70%. The highest package was 52 Lacs per annum and the lowest was 2–3 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies is D. E. Shaw, offering 52 Lacs per annum. Around 50% of students got internship by D. E. Shaw, MBRDI, Root quotient, etc. The roles offered vary. But some of them are developers by SDET.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. Computer labs have Wi-Fi facilities. The classrooms have smart boards, etc. The hostel's quality was mediocre. The food is like all other hostel food. We can't expect food to be great in hostel. We have a separate canteen where we have to pay eat.
Faculty: The curriculum was good. The teachers are helpful and qualified enough. The course syllabus is relevant as knowledge; as I am from CSE, we had subjects like data structures, database management systems, machine learning, etc. The semester exams are not that tough. I would say. You would be able to attempt all the questions if you referred to the question papers from last year.
Other: I chose CSE because I am interested in computer science. I think they can keep the course syllabus even more practical. Speaking about events, CIT has a lot of events, and there are around 30 clubs. There are scholarships available too, particularly for students.

I am dissatisfied with the guidance of faculty members.
Placements: Almost 60-70% of the students got placed in this year. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA, the average salary package offered is 5-6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Roles offered to the students were complicated. About 20-30% of the students got an internship. Companies like TCS and other company named D-Shaw offered the highest salary package. Many reputed companies like Bosch, Infosys and CTS also recruit students with a decent salary package.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is decent in our college. It is not that fast but also not that slow. Labs are the worst, and they have old machines, kits and computers. Machines are not updated for years. Classrooms are good. The library has a lot of books, and it is the best place to relax and study.
Faculty: Some teachers here have excellent knowledge of the subjects, and they completed their PhD. Some of them are the worst, and they don't have any knowledge about the subject. They just dictate the book and leave. The course curriculum is relevant, but they don't focus on making students industry-ready.

The best education standard with excellent placements but infrastructure needs improvement.
Placements: More than 85% of CSE students got placed in the campus interviews. The highest salary offered was 45 LPA and the lowest was 3 and the average salary was 4.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies include DESHAW, Amazon, Yahoo, Toshiba, Sorocco, oracle offered SE, testing, full-stack developer roles. Most companies gave full-time placement offer and 40% of the students got an internship from reputed companies like TCS, amazon, Sorocco, DESHAW among other companies.
Infrastructure: All the classes are equipped with wi-fi and are well ventilated. Labs are fully equipped with quality machines and computers. CIT also has a huge library that is accessible for all the students except Sundays. The hostel facilities for the girls were very good and for boys, the first year hostel needed improvement and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year (Newly built) hostels were excellent with all the necessary facilities. The mess food was unlimited and tasted good for both veg and non-veg varieties. Cit has a dispensary which is open all days of the week and a doctor who visits the college on Wednesdays. CIT is a college that loves sports. There is a football ground, tennis court, handball court, badminton court, and basketball court on the college campus and there were lot of sports clubs and students used to practice daily. You can get a scholarship from college if you excel in sports.
Faculty: Since CIT is a government-aided college, the teaching standard and the syllabus was very good when compared to other colleges. The teachers are highly skilled and are highly knowledgeable. You will get practical exposure as most of the things will be taught with practical exposure in labs. The syllabus will be updated each year to be made relevant to the industry. There was a special committee that designed the syllabus each year and there would be a regular weekly meeting where students, Department Holds and the staff express their concerns regarding the syllabus.
Other: I choose CSE because CSE has a great scope and it is easier to get a job, unlike other courses. Even my friends who took other courses in college are now working in CS streams. With just a computer and internet, you can even start to freelance. This is what makes this course special. Overall the course was very relevant to the current industry trends and it concentrated more on giving practical training. But during the second year, as an additional course, there were other courses like the Strength of materials (SOM-civil subject) and other subjects that were not needed for our course. This may need improvement. You will get loads of fun at CIT. There are lots of clubs in CIT like music club, photography, dance and much more. Each of these clubs host a programme every week with famous chief guests and it will be fun! Also, there will be many all-day events where students will host intercollege competitions and symposiums. CIT is situated on the main road in the heart of the City and everything is within accessible distance. There are a lot of scholarships a student can avail of during his course duration. There are so many scholarships that practically you can get more money that you pay to the college. There is so many sports events and there is a rule in CIT that every student must be in at least one of the clubs like NCC, NCC or traffic regulation club. So, you will get a lot of extracurricular activities.

A good affordable college with better quality education.
Placements: There is almost 90 percent placement for CSE students who are eligible for placements. Eligible in the sense those who have no standing arrears. If you have good communication skills with less then 3 history of arrears, you can get placed easily
The highest package offered was 33 LPA and lowers was 2.5 LPA average is 4.6 LPA, The top companies who come for recruitment are DeShaw, amazon, ibm etc.
Infrastructure: There is 24*7 Wi-Fi facility, the department building will be nice with nice ventilation, good aquatics and rich facilities. The students study here worry about the hostel building and food. The hostel building will be dark. Ofcourse there is one more hostel which was newly built where you can find some good building works. There are a lot of sports offered here, you can participate in the practice after the class.
Faculty: This college had the best teachers before. They all now got old and most of them are now retired, there is a legendary teacher MR. Prabakaran who is the secretary of the college, he handles the most important subject, and he is the only teacher with rich knowledge, Rest of the staffs aren't too great to be mentioned here
The courses curriculum is almost relevant. There are a few non core subjects that really trouble us, if those were removed, this curriculum would be most relevant.
Other: I believe this courses is the future. The easiest of all
The non core redundant papers must be removed and some advanced CSE topics must be included
Campus would be crowded always, have events often.

The review of CIT Coimbatore - Coimbatore Institute Of Technology.
Placements: If you are studying in CIT, you will get placed for sure. Many dream companies visit the campus for placements, and they offer a salary package of more than 10 LPA. They recruit a good number of students from the college. If you have good skills in coding, you can certainly get a salary package of more than 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good enough to live and study well. However, the campus is not that good for recreational aspects. The campus is very small with a few buildings in which they conduct all the classes. Labs of the CSE department have proper PCs, but the equipment in hardware labs like microprocessors, embedded or robotics labs are not that good.
Faculty: Facilities provided here are average. Wi-Fi facility is available here, but the Wi-Fi speed is not that good. Electricity and water facilities are available 24X7. Canteen facility is poor, and the mess is also the worst part of the college. Courses available are really good, and the curriculum is good enough and is comparable with NITs.
Other: The college doesn't organise big events. However, the clubs for music and dramatics conduct many shows to entertain students.

A college with average infrastructure and excellent faculty.
Placements: Global leaders including Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft; application superpowers including Direct I, and consulting companies like Morgan Stanley visited the campus for placements. Most of the companies recruit students who have CGPA above 8. The bulk recruitment companies are Infosys and TCS. Overall, the placements in CIT are good.
Infrastructure: 1st-year students have classes in the main block, which was constructed 50 years ago. The library block and IT block were constructed later, and are better than the main block. Apart from the 1st-years, all other students have classes in these blocks. Also, Wi-Fi facilities are available in all the blocks. The lab facilities are good but not excellent. The college has very good sports facilities, and grounds are available for all the games like cricket, football, volleyball, hockey, kho-kho, kabaddi, and tennis. The grounds available for cricket and football are very good. Hostel buildings are very old, namely Thirumalai, Maruthamalai, Palani and new hostel. Hostel facilities are seperately available for students of different years. Ceiling fans are available only in the new hostel, and students have to use table fans in other hostels. TV rooms and library are also available, and the library contains lots of books regarding each department. Overall, the infrastructure is okay, but not excellent.
Faculty: The faculty members possess in-depth knowledge about various fields, and they narrow down approaches for concepts and make things clear for our easy understanding. All the faculty members are qualified, and they have a lot of information regarding the subjects. They are not only good at academics but also care for the overall development of the students. They also teach moral values to students. Faculty members provide the best exposure for students in recent trends of the engineering concepts and the future of engineering.
Other: The college has more than 24 clubs such as arts, music, dance, karate, etc., where the students can develop their extra skills. It also contains service clubs like NCC, YRC, RSP, which help the students to serve the society. It has a very big auditorium which can accomodate 500 students. Every month, many events are organised in the auditorium. The Wi-Fi facility is good. The surroundings of the campus have lots of trees. A quest will be conducted for the first-year students, and it is the best among all the events.

I'm satisfied with the institute and greatly satisfied with the freedom that they are giving.
Placements: The placements are good for both seniors and juniors. 90% of the students were placed in several companies for the past two years. The highest, the lowest and the average salary package offered were around 25 LPA, 4 LPA, and 10 LPA respectively. Companies like Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, TCS visited the campus. Around 50-60% of the students got internships from the institution. The highest, the lowest and the average stipend offered during the internship were Rs. 80,000, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 40,000 per month respectively. There is a placement cell in our institute, and it is quite good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is up to the mark. Wi-Fi signals are weak in many places. The environment in the labs is good. The classrooms are comfortable. The library consists of thousands of useful books, and the quality of books provided is very good. The quality of food offered at the hostel mess is bad. They should take care of the quality of food. We are comfortable with our hostel rooms except for the second-year hostel. We have faced problems regarding the infrastructure of the college during the second-year in the hostel.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. But some of the teachers treat us like school students and do not have a proper teaching knowledge. The classes are interactive. The teacher to student ratio is 1:30. We've got industry exposure once. The course curriculum is useful.
Other: The college organises many fests and events every year. Surroundings of the campus are good. Providing the scholarship is extremely good. There are more than 22 clubs available to enroll for extracurricular activities.
