Placements: Our college provides good placement opportunities. Our seniors got placed at the core and non-core companies. Many companies visit our college to recruit students. The highest salary package offered is 33 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.75 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bosch, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has hostels. Hostels are good. The food served in the hostel is average. The hostel fee is affordable. Our couches and seniors guide us in sports.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good and well-trained. They teach us very well. They have good teaching skills. They provide good practical knowledge. They provide industrial training. The pass percentage of 3rd semester is 72%.
Other: The college crowd is high. Our college students are from all over the country.

It is a good college for education and placements.
Placements: Around 90% of students get placed in our college and 10% go for higher studies. The highest salary package offered is 47 LPA and the lowest salary package is 4 LPA. L&T, Yamaha, Technip, Honda, TVS, and BMW are the top recruiting companies. Around 50% of students get internships in these companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure provided in our college are very good but all the buildings are old because our college was founded in 1957. Wi-Fi is available but it is very slow. Labs are very good. Classrooms are very good and have projectors. The canteen is very neat and clean.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced. They have completed their Ph.D. Their teaching quality is average and self-study is needed. The course curriculum is relevant but doesn't make students ready for company. Semester exams are very tough.

Review of Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
Placements: Our college provides good placement opportunities for students and holds good placements since the 90s. The recruiting companies are Hyundai, Lauren & Turbo, Laksmi Machine Works, TCS, TVS, Sanmar, Technip Energies, Amazon, DE Shaw, Pricol, and Tafe.
Infrastructure: Hostels don't have fans but are fully ventilated. Food facilities are good. It is a peaceful place and has a green view. Buildings are old and are not attractive. Our college has 3 hostels namely, Palani, Velliangiri, and Tirumalai with good features.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not good and don't have knowledge of the subject. Some of them try to help students pass their academics and boost their interest in academic activities. Some of them don't care about students' life.

Very good college for diverse students.
Placements: In mechanical department, 60% students were placed. Maximum package is 12 LPA and the average is 5.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are tally, Zoho, solutions 69 and Robert Bosch, etc. Coimbatore institute of technology is well known for students' freedom. They can focus on their own interest like GATE UPSC and abroad education etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities offered by the college are very good. Especially lab facilities are essential for a student extremely, this is provided in full-fledged manner. In every classroom, projectors are available, Wi-Fi is not for students but in each classroom, ethernet cable is available, students can use it.
Faculty: Teachers are so kind. Most of the staffs and facilities have studied in top colleges and IITs too. In semester exam, out of 5 or 6 papers, 2 papers are only difficult, remaining are so easy. Question papers are in moderate. Pass percentage in each department will be around 70%.

Placements: The average package witnessed an increase of more than 17% in 2020 as compared to the preceding year. The total number of recruiters decreased by more than 10% in 2020. When compared to 2019, the total number of placement offers decreased by more than 17% in 2020.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of a college plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are now focusing on the labs, classrooms, etc. When selecting a college, the colleges must have very good infrastructure with advanced laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, etc.
Faculty: The curriculum prepares students to take exams for internationally recognized certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco. Core liberal arts classes include communications, humanities, math, science, and Social Science.
Other: Transportation facilities are not well enough.

Placements and facilities in our college are good.
Placements: 60% of students got placed in 2021. 7.5 LPA is the highest package offered, 3 LPA is the lowest package, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Cameron, Saint Gobain, L&T, Baker Hughes, etc., come here. 10% of students got placed in Cameron and Ganit. GET and design engineer roles are offered. Around 40% of companies are core, and others are IT and BPO companies. It will be better if many core companies come here. Core companies take only those students with no arrears.
Infrastructure: Mechanical engineering is the best in CIT. All core labs are available. Lectures are very good. Wi-Fi and library are available. The food is average. Medical facilities are good. All types of sports are available, but the support from management is not sufficient. The library is huge, and all kinds of books of various fields are available. All novels, journals and newspapers are also available.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly knowledgeable. All the courses are very useful. Semester exams are very interesting. 50% is the pass percentage. Faculty members are highly educated, and they have deep knowledge of their respective subjects. They have cleared government exams and qualified for college, so they have deep knowledge.
Other: There are 16 clubs in our college. It is the main notable point in CIT. Extracurricular activities are excellent here.

It is a good college for financially middle-class students who are top in studies.
Placements: Almost 95% of students got placements in campus interviews. All courses are good. Our college teaches programming skills that would help us in future placements. It is an autonomous college, so that would become advantageous.
Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms are comfortable and have good facilities and all kinds of machines. There is a hostel, and the food is served. Hostel rooms are small and have one switchboard, shelf and three beds. They also give importance to sports and games. There are also grounds to practice cricket. Football ground and volleyball ground are also available here. The labs are really good, and they teach about every machine practically.
Faculty: The teachers here help you 24x7 and help you in clearing your doubts. They teach until your doubts are cleared. Semester exams are not really tough. If you understand every concept correctly, the exams are easy. Courses make students get ready for their industrial work.
Other: I chose this course because I love machines.

Placements: In our college around 50 percent of students got placed. The highest pay is 24 LPA,
and the lowest is 3 LPA offered. Top roles in my course are supervisor etc. The highest 24 LPA,
the lowest 3 LPA,
Average 10 LPA was offered to our course.
Around 25 percent of students got internship.
Top recruiting companies are ford BMW.
Infrastructure: In mechanical engineering there are separate labs for every subject
Labs available are thermal lab, heat transfer lab, mettalurgy lab, metrology lab, dynamics lab, mechatronics lab, lathe, special machine, foundry lab, welding lab, autocad lab, CAD and CAM lab,
The quality of hostel is good having continuous power supply and water supply.
Mess food is some what okay.
Sports and game facilities are good.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified helpful and knowledgeable. The quality was so good. They will give a brief lecture and notes for a specified topics. The library in our college is very helpful to us because we can find any subject book there.
Curriculum is relevant and sure it will make the students industry ready.
Other: I like this course so that I choose it.
The best things in our course is lab facilities.
To improve I wish to change the syllabus in my course.
There will be atleast 2 events in a week.

Yes, it is possible to get admission there by lateral entry.
If you are not form Tamil Nadu then you actually cant apply for Anna university and other universities afillated by Anna with your marks.
You can opt for a management quota where you may have to pay according to the program and the collage

Hi Vishnu,
Admission is through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling based on the marks obtained in 10+2.
The minimum eligibility to apply is 50% marks.
Mandatory subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics.
Backward Muslim category candidates must have 45% marks (40% for MBC/DNC/SCA)
