Non-admission in the college will be considered as not willing to join and the allotment order will be cancelled. All candidates who are satisfied with the currently allotted seat and have opted for “Accept and Upward” will be given tentative allotment orders. They must report to the nearest TFC and pay the tuition fees and submit their original certificates for holding the current seat. Such candidates will lose allotted seats and will not be considered for further rounds of counselling.
TNEA 2023 Counselling Choice Conformation Options
Once the candidates are allotted seats in TNEA counselling, they have the choice to practice various confirmation options. There are 6 available options with the candidates described below:

The candidate will lose his/her allotted seat if failed to report to the college. Such not-reported candidates cannot participate in any subsequent rounds.
2. Accept and Upward
A candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted but wishes to wait for allotment in the higher order of his/her choice in the ensuing upward movement. For example, if the candidate is allotted a seat for choice 5, he/she can wait for choices 1,2,3,4. In case no better choice is available in an upward movement, then the candidate is confirmed with the previously allotted choice 5.
3. Decline and Upward
A Candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, therefore, he/she declines the allotment but prefers to wait for allotment in the higher order of his/her choice in the ensuing upward movement. If he/she is unable to get his/her preferred allotment in an upward movement, then the candidate will be moved to the next round.
4. Decline and move to the next round
A candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat. Also, candidates do not wish to wait for upward movement and he/she is willing to participate in the next round.
5. Decline and Quit
A candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat and he/she does not wish to participate in subsequent rounds also.
6. Upward or move to the next round
If ‘no seat’ is allotted to the candidate based on all the choices, then this option will be shown. Such ‘no seat’ allotted candidates can opt for upward movement.
