After all, you will be hired by a mass recruiter only (most probably). If possible, select a better stream. And if you want civil only, I can say both the institutes are good. Yes, IIEST Shibpur has the oldest civil department, but I can't say about the labs and facilities whether they are latest or not. Having a legacy doesn't imply that it will be good. If possible, explore both. Talking about NIT Durgapur, I've heard many complaints regarding placement but can't tell a

KCC is a good college to be considered for B.Tech. You can expect enriching industrial exposure and guest lectures. The placement cell provides multiple chances to the student, but they are not so great. Sports facility is amazing. IEC is the worst college. No practical exposure. Labs are just for namesake. Management really ***, only that thing I learned here is how to pass the exam in one night. B.Tech here is an illusion that will break at the time of placement. Good infrastructure and peaceful, serene environment (especially, there is no traffic around t

First of all, MIT provides you better placement as compare to Manipal University Jaipur. And, if you hate biology, then you can go with Manipal Jaipur. Manipal Jaipur is also good and provides you average placement. Both of these campuses have got a really good infrastructure and good campus life.

Old NITs, if you are going there for job purpose. And, if you just go for the degree, then I'll prefer you to opt for the new IITs, as there their name is far better than NITs.

For mining branch, the on-campus placements are very low, it's less than 30% and even low for the batches I saw. None of my friends from Mining department got placed in the campus and many of them have pointer 8.5+. Later, they got jobs through off-campus placements, that's a different story.

Evolve Business School is a specialized institute for management programs like BBA, we focus on limited students so that the delivery of the course become more efficient & effective in order to achieve 100% placement for students.
Hence in comparison with other colleges, we work towards quality rather then quantity.
