The College of Engineering (CEG) is one of the four colleges that comprise Anna University (Chennai), and it is a public-government college.
The university was originally established on 4 September 1978 and is named after C. N. Annadurai, the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The university offers higher education in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Applied Sciences relevant to the current and projected needs of society.
The university is recognized by the UGC and AIU and is accredited with an A Grade by the NAAC.

Yes it's approved! The state-run Anna University, which has a 20th overall NIRF ranking, is located in Chennai and provides undergraduate, graduate, and research-level programs in a number of engineering, technology, and related fields.
A public college with ties to Chennai's Anna University called the College of Engineering in Guindy provides a range of technical and engineering programs. Both colleges are affiliated with Anna University. According to the PSG College of Technology placement drive 2022, the median package during PSG College of Technology placement 2022 ranged between INR 6 lakh and INR 6.5 lakh as per NIRF 2023 rankings. The average package offered during CEG Guindy placements 2022 stood at INR 6.93 LPA.
