In 2016, the College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) had varying cut-off marks for different courses and categories. The cut-off marks are determined based on factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, and the availability of seats. It’s important to note that cut-off marks can differ from year to year.

COEP Pune M.Tech admissions are based on MHT CET M.Tech scores followed by counselling. Going as per the last year cutoff trends, the closing percentile for M.Tech. in Geotechnical Engineering stood at 14.98 Percentile, for M.Tech.3 in Environment and Water Resources Engineering again at 14.98 Percentile, for M.Tech.9 in Structural Engineering at 72.75 and for M.Tech in Transportation Engineering at 18.95 Percentile. There is no such provision for direct admission to the MBA programme at COEP Technological University (formerly COEP). COEP Pune MBA admissions are entirely entrance exam-based. Candidates willing to take admission to the MBA programme must take any of the following entrance exams:
- Candidates who belong to the Maharashtra region need to take the MAH-CET exam conducted by the Maharashtra Government.
- And, those who are outside of Maharashtra can take any of the entrance exams, i.e. MAH-CET/ CAT/ ATMA/ CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT.
