If you have the passion, you should definitely pursue a design course. You may not get admission in the top institutes because they prefer a candidate with design background only. But, you can pursue a Diploma course from the design colleges available in your state.

Admission to all the courses is based on the marks in Jain Entrance Test (JET) followed by an interview. Apart from JET, CAT/ KMAT/ CMAT/ GMAT or XAT qualified candidates can also apply for admission to MBA program. In case of M.Tech, students with a valid score in GATE or Karnataka PGCET can also apply for admission.

BE in CS is a better option. BCA only teaches you about computer software and applications, while BE in computer science teaches you both hardware as well as software. Hence, BE in CS has a better value in the market. Placement opportunities will also be better if you pursue BE in CS.

Of course, you can join MSRIT through parallel admission but can't assure you for the percentage for the administrative fee structure. You will get the information if you contact the admission block.
