Yes, you can surely join, but why? Diploma is three years while graduation is a four-year course. Difference of only one year. I feel you should not give up hope. I am sure, if you got admission then you are capable of passing too. Meet principal if you have financial worries.

Failing is no crime. But, you must get up and start working hard in right earnest. So that you score very well in next exam and get qualified for admission in mechanical engineering. Of course, you will have to clear CET of your state with good marks also.

First of all congratulations on getting a good rank and yes you can get CSE at MVIT with a rank of 3735 in 1st round only, otherwise in 2nd round your seat is confirmed. Hope you got your answer.
